WOYWW 259

Here is what is on my desk this week.

Have you ever had one of those hot chocolates that are made with a chunk of chocolate on a stick melted into hot milk? Well last time I had one it wasn't on a stick but on a wooden spoon. The little plain wooden spoon was just crying out to be decorated so I brought it home and this is what it looks like now.

There is still a little more to do before it is finished.

This is the back.

The background around her head is painted in Lumiere paint, you can just about see the glimmer, and I am contemplating adding a little fine glitter. The dress was done with Yellow Ochre with an overlay of a Burnt Sienna glaze into which I scratched the flower detail.

I am linking this post to WOYWW where lots of crafters and artists share what they are working on. If you would like to see what's going on just click on the badge in the side-bar  and take a look.

Thanks for visiting. x

  1. Good morning. Can't believe it's Wednesday again already! Thanks for letting us in to peek at your creative space.
Cool idea, I have two small wooden spoons that need a makeover.....

  3. Now that is clever and lovely to hear it was a wooden spoon rather than those plastic ones. I love your young women and I do like the changes you have made subtle but definitely notice the difference. It is hard not to throw things away but, it is most pleasing to go back in a year or two and see how much progress or change you have made in style. I think your girls are wonderful.

  4. Hi, great idea with the spoons, I keep collecting these but haven't got round to doing anything with them. Perhaps you could have a family of spoons.
    Happy crafting, Angela x 41

  6. What a lovely idea, Fuzzie, and I particularly like what you've done with the back - what fun! Great to be into recycling, isn't it, you and me both. Unfortunately my Zentangles and Teabag Art have to take a back seat for a bit as I'm already past the deadline for the album so I must crack on with that, and I have the usual cards to make, as and when they are required. Never fear, though, these projects have not been abandoned!

Thanks for your good wishes for our holiday. I can't see much chance of resting up before then, though - it's a very busy time.

    Happy WOYWW,
