A beautiful Pea Green Boat.

Today I have joined two challenges together. Paint Party Friday and Mix it Monthly. This months theme over at Mix it Monthly is boats. There is also a colour palette which you can see if you click on the badge in the side-bar.

I don't seem to be able copy the pallets over to my blog. If anyone has any tips on how to do it please let me know.

The Owl and the Pussycat

I did a  bit of paper folding and made a 3d boat and attached it to the background with matt medium. So the owl and the pussycat are actually sitting in the boat and then attached to the background. The moon is silver foil and I used a purple glitter gel pen for the stars.

Other materials used were book paper, acrylic, Lumiere paint and charcoal pencil.

Thanks for visiting. x

  2. Love your grey sea and 3D boat and especially the owl and pussycat who both look extremely contented. I also like how you have used text paper, that's so effective.

  11. I love it. It's sweet and I find the background writing (the green part of the boat) is as if they are having a conversation." I have never relished being tall........ " Did you plan it that way or is it me?

  16. What a fabulous rendition, it was an inspired idea to make a 3D boat and I love the sparkly stars. The Owl and The Pussy Cat is one of my most favourite poems.
Re the colour palette, I use a similar method to Linda K, but I just click on the image and when it opens in a new window, right click, copy and paste in my post then you can adjust the size as normal. Hope that helps :o))
