As Voted by the British Public.

A little illustration to celebrate the news that the ROBIN  has been voted  Britain's National Bird.

The robin has a special meaning for me so I couldn't be happier that it was voted top of the list by the British Public.

  9. That is the sweetest Robin ever! I love Robins, their song is happy and sweet. I don't think Robins have one little aggressive bone in their bodies.

  11. The robin is our state bird (Michigan). Robin sightings signal the arrival of spring. Love your little red breasted friend.

  12. Oh Fuzzy what a gorgeous little drawing of our favourite Robin Redbreast! He is so fat and comfortable, and how heavy he is, weighing down the line he is sitting on. You have captured completely the essence of "Robin" and observed that the red breast extends up into his face, too. I am delighted he has been voted our national bird.

Robins are very territorial. I remember at my parents' old house they had a short curving drive to the gate, and there was an invisible (to us at least) line running down the centre of this, and frequently we'd observe two very aggressive male robins facing off across this territorial boundary! The song of the robin is delicious, and the curious places they choose to make their nests. They are full of character.

Thanks for sharing something very special!
