It has been a long time since my last post but I have been working on a few things in my Dylusions journal that I wanted to share with you. As some of you will know prior to taking a break from blogging I was starting to experiment with drawing faces and I have been including figures and faces in my mixed media work. Here are a couple of my latest pages.
Here is a close up of her face. She is painted in acrylics and I have outlined her features with black Derwent Inktence pencil..The background is made up of layers of book paper, stamps, acrylic paint and gesso. The butterflies were from my stash and were a free download image that I downloaded a while ago
I am in the early stages of painting faces.and I am really pleased with her. I love her little round face and I think she looks like she has a personality.
I know I have been away for a while but I hope my regular followers have not forgotten me. I welcome any comments and will be back again soon with more journal pages.
Thank you so much for your visit - it's great to see you back in the land of blog! I hope you are much better now and not getting any pain in your back and neck. I love the work you've been doing - they are absolutely fabulous and certainly don't look like you are in the early stages of painting faces! I love faces that show character and feelings and I think you've captured that so beautifully.
