A Face Still in Progress

This is a mixed media  piece I had been working on but I put it aside as I was unsure how to add some butterflies. Should I paint my own ? Or use some  printed images.

I had a sheet of butterflies that I printed off a while ago. They were a free download but I can't remember were from. So I cut them out and positioned them on and I have decided to use them. I may enhance them a little with a touch of paint.

The background is made up of  a collage of patterned papers gesso, acrylic, Distress ink and oil pastels. Her dress is cut from one of my painted papers. I still have her facial features and her hair to complete but I thought I would share her for Paint Party Friday and as today's face no. 14 for 29 Faces.

If you want to see some lovely work from other's taking part in Paint Party Friday and 29 Faces click on the badges in the sidebar.

Bye for now x

  6. Lovely lady for 29 Faces, she has a dreamy expression, slightly oriental, and I like the angle of her head which balances the painting beautifully. I agree with you that the butterflies will welcome your touches of colour.
