WOYWW 286

This is how my desk looks this Wednesday.

You can see my latest WIP.

I didn't apply my usual layers of collage for this background because I wanted it to have a more painterly look.  At first the background was very dull looking so I took inspiration for the colour from the Klimt portrait  you see in the background.

In reality the colour is a much more fiery shade of orange than the camera has picked up.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all the lovely comments left recently .I really do appreciate them . Please accept my apologies if I have not responded personally or managed to return the favour by visiting your blog this past week.

Thanks for visiting. x

  5. Awesome! It really can be challenging to photograph our creations, especially with seasonal lighting conditions. Most of us have minimal photographic equipment to work with too. (read tablet, ismartphone etc.) ;) Your lady still looks wonderful. Happy WOYWW Nann #49

  17. The painted background has given your piece a very different look and I like it. I adore Lisa graham and your painting has the feel of her interiors. Wonderful!

Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment. I'm glad I've broken out my pan pastels at last. They gave me exactly the effect I wanted!

  21. I love how you used Klimt as your inspiration here and have made it your own sweet lady sitting in the chair. Many of Klimts women looks so sinister I think. Oh, but his art as a whole...yes. Which is why we use it as inspiration, right? The orange is gorgeous.
