WOYWW

What's on my work desk this Wednesday?

This is a sketch I posted a while back.

I really liked their faces so I decided not to add colour because once I start painting my faces they can change a little and sometimes quite a lot.

This week I have used them as inspiration for my latest mixed media painting.

The background is made up of scrapbook papers, stamped images on tissue paper, gesso and acrylics.

I hope you will pop by again to see it when it's finished. x

  8. Gorgeous, Fuzzie, both the drawings and the lovely mixed media background. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with that!

Thank you for your lovely comment. Things are slightly less stressful now because after a big blow up like the other day, Mum behaves impeccably for a few days, but unfortunately it doesn't last... I am determined to be strong from now on, but it is a strain! Going into my ARTHaven and shutting the door has tremendous therapeutic value, and once I get stuck in, I am totally absorbed, and I come away refreshed. It is such a blessing to have that special space that's All Mine lol! I am so glad you are enjoying the progress of my album. I did a bit more today, and I'm really enjoying it.

    Happy WOYWW,

  11. They are such sweet faces, and I think you're right not to add to them - just in case. The other project is going to be lovely, too. Love, Chris # 7

  14. Oh I love that background! I'm just learning about mixed media. I think what you've just done will be my aim (using patterned papers). I don't quite understand what you do with tissue paper. Do you stamp on tissue paper and then gesso it onto you background?
Sorry I'm so late in commenting. I like to comment on all of the posts but there just aren't enough hours in the day...
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.
    Have a good week.
