WOYWW and a Funny Coincidence

Hi

It's Wednesday again and time for WOYWW

Here is what is on my desk today.

WIP

It is my take on a work by Chagall.

My plan is to mix different elements from a couple of his pieces.

If you missed my last post you can see a coloured pencil drawing of another of his paintings.

And now to the funny coincidence.

I had some old book pages that I tore out of an old dictionary a while ago.

I grabbed a couple at random and one was lying on my desk.

When I looked down this is what I saw.

What a coincidence as we are starting to get in the festive spirit.......

My decorations are coming down from the loft at the weekend and they

will all be up by the 1st December.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. What a happy coincidence! You should use that for a Christmas journal page of some sort. Did have the pleasure of reading your previous post and seeing your Chagall piece. Nice to see you continuing with the challenge. Looking forward to seeing it done AND some photo of those Christmas decorations hung!

  6. A great start - have you used collage under watercolour or thinned acrylic? My decorations will not really be going up this year - away for a 'noughty' birthday. Have a productive week Jackie x #20

  7. Your artwork is looking great. I love the colours you're using. You must have been channelling christmas for it to pop up in the dictionary like that, how funny!
    Have a good week.
