Paint Party Friday.

In my last post I gave a sneak peek of what I have been working on over the past few days but unfortunately it didn't go to plan.

In most cases I have found that if you keep working at it you can pull things around again but not this time. The more I worked on the background the more I hated it. So in the bin it went. Well........the background went in the bin after I cut out a the bit I did like.

She reminds me of those paper dolls you used to get back in my childhood days. But for want of a better word I am going to call her my first 'Art Doll' !!!

I am linking this post to Paint Party Friday. Click on the badge in the side-bar and join in the party.

Thanks for visiting. x

  1. She's looking sad! Perhaps she is missing her background.... Valerie

  2. She is the sweetest paper doll I've seen in a long time. I would call that a serendipitous event!

  5. So sweet, Carol! I love her dress. I too used to play with paper dolls. Is she free standing? The photo makes her seem so. Have a good weekend :o) x

  6. Love what you've done with her, Fuzzie! She's gorgeous.

Lol at your comment!! Where have I been? Sat on my backside in the house for weeks is where ROFL!! I had a BALL yesterday and really enjoyed myself! Glad you like our new mirror. I'd love to have got an original art deco one, but we probably wouldn't have been able to afford it, and I think that one fits really well, like sun rays exploding from the clock!

  9. I LOVE her...it's as though she is talking to you telling you that she like the background and you are way too hard on yourself...I love her cocked head and skeptical expression...so fun! Your characters do speak to us!!

  12. A bit sad and wistful, but spunky! I love the photo with the real table and plain wall in the background.

  13. She's a sweetie ... But I think she misses her background ;-) From what I could see of it in the previous post it didn't look half bad.
