WOYWW

On my desk today I have the leftover packaging from some new pillowcases.

And some painted papers.

The packaging is ideal for a book cover so I am just mulling over some ideas for the cover  and the binding. I am also undecided about what paper to put in the book. Watercolour paper, sketchbook paper or painted papers. I take an age to decide on these things.

Thanks for visiting. x

  1. How fun!! Now that I craft, I do look at "junk" much differently! My husband always rolls his eyes when I keep him from throwing something out because I CAN USE THAT, lol!!!

    Happy Crafting!

  2. What an exciting new project, Fuzzie. You know how I love recycled stuff, and like Queenie Jeannie, my hubby rolls his eyes too, when I say "Could I make art out of that?" Lol! Hubbies... (there's nothing wrong with US, of course!) I can't wait to see how it develops. Your gelli prints are delicious... I simply must get going with gelli printing - ages ago I bought all the stuff to make my own plate but haven't got started. Thank you for your visit and your lovely encouraging comment - you are right - the embroidery really fits the bill at the moment and I'm enjoying doing it in this strage limbo period I am in.

I love your new blog heading! It's gorgeous. Beautiful painting and what a great texture around the edges!

    Happy WOYWW,

  4. I love making journals from packaging. I usually use small cereal boxes. The one I have been using a lot lately has gelli printed paper inside. It is fun to use a colorful backgrounds and try to find shapes in it, or else decide I need to paste over it..lol Shel#55

  5. Ooh, this looks like an exciting project coming up! Your gelli prints are gorgeous and I'm looking forward to seeing how your book turns out! Why not use a mixture of all different papers in your book, then that way you have the excitement of never knowing what you're getting until you've turned the page!

  9. Gorgeous gelli papers Carol. I agree with others here that say add a mixture of papers, and Lunch Lady Jan is very wise saying the longer you take the happier you will be with your choice. ((hugs)) :o) x

  14. My husband meanwhile never throws anything away without asking me, because he likes what you can make out of trash. Those gelli prints look promising!

  15. Looks interesting! For the inside I would use a combination of different papers. But I can see that I'm not the only one suggesting this ;-)

  16. My hub also comes to me and says before he puts in for garbage.

Can you use this. I too make my albums out of recycling boxes. .

I to love to do crafts. Drop by and she what I did with orange wrappers and paint.

    I like the paper idea.
