Sisters
Acrylic, graphite and oil pastel
on 5x7" watercolour paper
I did this as a sort of exercise because up to now there has only usually been one figure in my paintings and I wanted to have to consciously think about making the facial features different from one another.
I don't always give my paintings a title because sometimes I struggle with choosing one but when I look at this it just say's one thing to me, hence the title.
As there are circles in the background I am linking this post to Art Journal Journey. Click on the badge in the side bar and take a look at the wonderful artwork on show.
Thanks for visiting. x
This is beautiful Carol and the title is, of course, perfect. The girls are so pretty and they do have different faces. I love this very much. Well done! :D

They do look like sisters! Lovely painting!
ReplyDeleteI love your painting of your sweet sisters, who look so fond of each other, and I like the way they are to one side with the butterflies at the left. You should do more with two or three faces in, you are so good with the design and painting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment on my post while I am having a bad time healthwise just now, it is much appreciated.
Very good! I love the soft purple background and the girls look like sisters indeed.
