This is how my desk looks this week.
I have been revisiting a piece I did for the Summer of Colour challenge. I thought that it looked unfinished so I did some more work on it.
This is how it looked before.
And thiis is how it looks now.
I added some stencil work, changed her hair, re-touched her face and used a charcoal pencil to pick out her dress. Now I am much happier with her.
I didn't stop there. A while back I posted this sketch.
I wasn't happy with her face.so I changed it and now she looks like this.
I have also adjusted her muscular shoulder. Lol.
I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone that has left such helpful comments and tips over the last week or so. They are very much appreciated
Although it is little late, as well as linking this post to WOYWW, I am also linking to Art Journal.Journey where the theme for this month is Flower Power.
Thanks for visiting. x
Wow! See, I tend not to re-visit, in my impatience, and yet you have turned a great piece into awesome! Love the new hair and the stencil shapes, just right for softening the edges. Clever. I can't see when I've finished or not really!

ReplyDeleteSo love your ongoing work, Fuzzie! These are so gorgeous. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog - it's really nice to be home, and I've been resting today, just catching up with some TV and emails and blog posts etc. I'm still feeling emotionally fragile but hopefully that will pass very soon.

I love the shifts you made with your SOC piece - I joined up just the last week, & really enjoyed that yummy pallatte ... It's always nice when making a shift makes a difference that we LIKE!!
ReplyDeleteThe second little girl looks much more content ... the scowly face reminds me of my granddaughters when they're in 'a mood!' ... but that generally doesn't last long, thank heavens!!
Great work. Like how you continued to remold it.
ReplyDeleteHaving trouble to go up and have another look to top again. It goes so far and then bottom. Oh well. Must be a clique in it.
