A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was working on a piece of mail art for a blog friend. I couldn't share it at the time as I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Now that it has safely arrived at its destination I can now let you take a look.
I used a piece of cardboard and adhered a piece of scrim using matt medium. I then applied some gesso and modelling paste. For this little 'cutie' I used charcoal pencil and acrylics.
I have a fallen in love with this little one. I'm glad she has gone to a good home.
Thanks for visiting. x
Hi, Fuzzy Fingers. YOUR CARD IS ADORABLE! I've been mailing art-paper postcards with watercolor paintings on them to my grandchildren. I didn't know the USPS would mail other non-commercial homemade cards. Can you tell me the criterion?
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised you fell in love with piece it is really nice. What a lucky person the new owner is :)
ReplyDeleteI can see why you fell in love! SHe's adorable!
ReplyDeleteshe is really adorable ... nice little sweetie!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet face and great texture. Nice work! Bet she loved it!
ReplyDeleteShe is really really lovely, I admire your work so much Carol. I am still trying to get caught up with all things domestic, arty and bloggy. We may only have been away from home for four days but as the school holidays are two weeks, it takes it's toll on playtime. Altho' actually I combined entertainment and art today - we made some Christmas cards! 'Playing' with the BigShot is usually attractive ;)
ReplyDeleteHope the weather is being kind to you. It hasn't been as bad here as expected today, so we're happy campers ((hugs)) :o))
