Changes?

In my last post I said I was taking  some time out  from blogging for a couple of weeks. Well, it has been a whole month so I thought I would pop by and say hello.

I was hoping to take the time to take stock and make plans of how to take my art to the next step. Maybe go down the route of offering my work for sale. I had plans to revamp my blog and maybe open an etsy shop but unfortunately, as sometimes happens, 'life' got in the way.

Having said that, I have found time to complete a couple of  pieces one of which I would like to share today.

  Untitled
mixed media on 5' 'x 8'' card

I am still working on a title but I am sure one will come to me soon.

So it is back to the 'metaphorical drawing board' for me.

Thanks for visiting. x

  5. So, so beautiful - I love the autumnal colouring - and her face is exquisite. Good luck with your longer term project of opening an Etsy shop and selling your work - I think it's a great idea.

  7. Beautiful artwork Fuzzie Fingers
She looks like she's thinking about lots of things too. I know all about life getting in the way of art... I'm constantly juggling.
I hope you find some time for those projects but in the meantime thanks for sharing your wistful woman.
    Happy PPF to you

  9. So pleased you're back. I think the etsy shop is a great idea. I keep meaning to open one as I have some mermaids to sell but haven't got round to it. Sometimes a blog break can make you return afresh and new. I love your new piece and wish you luck in whichever venture you choose. X

  15. This is very beautiful.. It's filled with wonder. Perhaps that might make a good title.. The eyes of a wonderer? Wonder Eyes? I'm sure you'll find an amazing title to go with these brilliant pieces. Thank you for sharing!

  16. Contemplation - it seems to go with her expression but also in how you have been spending some of your off-line time. She really is a beauty. It was partly my love of your art that drew me to have a go at the 29 Faces September challenge; I had a wonderful time and found a love of sketching and so much inspiration to help me along. I'm delighted to see you 'back on the block' and look forward to seeing what you do next (hugs) :o)

  21. I find that taking a periodic break is helpful to recharge. At the same time, it is good to see you back. You captured a feeling in this painting pensive, quizzical, sad, thoughtful... i like it left to the viewer to decide.
